Our Mission

Himalayan Health Center (HHC) is a not for profit organization that exists to provide quality health care to the medically underserved in the rural Indo-Tibetan borderlands region of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

We share a clear vision for continuing excellence built around four key concepts: Tradition, Innovation, Adaptation and Collaboration.

The Himalayan Health Center believes that regardless of race, religion, social status, or economic means, everyone should have access to healthcare.

Our Vision

Without the Himalayan Health Center (HHC), this demographic of Tibetan refugees, nomads and local tribal people living in the high reaches of the Indian Himalayas would have to travel hundreds of kilometers to reach the nearest health center. With the help of a newly constructed Health Center, we will be able to provide life saving health care and surgical procedures at no cost to these patients.

We value each individual and the community that they come from and we work to eliminate the overwhelming obstacle of accessible, essential healthcare that everyone is entitled to.
